Determining Sentiment in Citation Text and Analyzing Its Impact on the Proposed Ranking Index
Whenever human beings interact with each other, they exchange or express opinions, emotions and sentiments. These opinions can be expressed in text, speech or images. Analysis of these sentiments is one of the popular research areas of present day researchers. Sentiment analysis, also known as opinion mining tries to identify or classify these sentiments or opinions into two broad categories – ...
متن کاملAn h-index weighted by citation impact
An h-type index is proposed which depends on the obtained citations of articles belonging to the h-core. This weighted h-index, denoted as hw, is presented in a continuous setting and in a discrete one. It is shown that in a continuous setting the new index enjoys many good properties. In the discrete setting some small deviations from the ideal may occur. 2007 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.

This database launched in 2012 aims to link data sets and data studies with citations received from the rest of their citation indexes. Funding bodies and research organizations are increasingly demanding the need of researchers to make their scientific data available in a reusable and repro...

For example, when interpreting a sentence such as “Alice ate some of the cookies,” listeners routinely infer that Alice did not eat all of them. A Gricean account of this phenomenon assumes the presence of alternatives (like “all of the cookies”) ...
متن کاملPR-Index: Using the h-Index and PageRank for Determining True Impact
Several technical indicators have been proposed to assess the impact of authors and institutions. Here, we combine the h-index and the PageRank algorithm to do away with some of the individual limitations of these two indices. Most importantly, we aim to take into account value differences between citations-evaluating the citation sources by defining the h-index using the PageRank score rather ...
